You just created a Google Form and you are trying to get your colleagues or students to make some choices in a and want them to choose their 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc options. You can do this easily with the Checkbox Data Validation setting.

After you create the list of choices you want users to pick from, using the Checkbox question type, click the 3 dots next to the "Required" switch and choose "Data validation" from the dropdown. That will open a new setting under your list of question choices. This is where you can specify choice limits.

You can choose between having users forced to choose:

  • Select at least an amount of options
  • Select at most an amount of options
  • Select an exact amount of options

After setting your limits, your form cannot be submitted unless your created criteria is met.
