Don't Open Attachments or Click Links if not expecting them (Even if you recognize the sender's address)

 We have been informed of a "Spam" email (below) that have reached a user's Inbox. This is a reminder that you should not open or click links on emails that are sent from a suspicious source OR if the file being sent was not expected. 

If you are unsure if the email is legitimate, it is best to first reach out to the sender to confirm that they sent the email BEFORE clicking on anything.

If the email is indeed spam, you can report it as such by clicking the report spam button in gmail







Dangerous W-2 Phishing Scam

The Internal Revenue Service, state tax agencies and the tax industry issued an urgent alert today to all employers that the Form W-2 email phishing scam has evolved beyond the corporate world and is spreading to other sectors, including school districts, tribal organizations and nonprofits.
