Disabling IPP, WSD, and mDNS on Lexmark Printers
Lexmark printers are designed to make it easy for end-users to locate printers in different environments, but having all the discovery features turned on can make different versions of the same printer appear as available under the print menu for users in the same subnet.
To get around this, and only have PaperCut show the PaperCut print queues and printer ports, we need to disable the IPP and WSD printer ports on the printer, as well as disable mDNS.
Login to the web portal of a Lexmark Printer
Click on Network/Ports from the left menu
In the bottom-center menu, click on TCP/IP
Scroll down and disable mDNS by unchecking the box
Scroll further down and find the TCP/IP Port Access link and click on it.

You’ll see a screen with TCP/IP Port numbers, descriptions and checkboxes. Scroll down the list and look for the following:
Click the Save button. Click the Save button on the TCP/IP screen.
This will prevent printers from advertising themselves on the subnet.
